Getting Started

Ok, So lets get started shall we?  I am new to this whole blogging thing, so please bare with me for now.  Im going to start off with the basics of using coupons.  Many people think and have told me, they really don't save much with coupons, so I don't bother with them, or I don't have the time..etc. etc.  First off you can save a whole lot of money using them  and its true, it does take some time to get used to doing.  But if you keep at it, it will all fall into place.

So here are  some facts that you might not know.

1. you can print coupons online, and you can order them threw ebay or also clipping services.
2. you can find sites that will post ads for stores for up coming sales for weeks in advance such as cvs, riteaid, target, walmart..etc.. you get the gist of it . Later in the blog I will give you those sites to follow. You can look threw the ad and see what is going to be a good deal..Then go to ebay and order your coupons for that weeks sale.  Ex..if i know shampoo is going to be on sale for 2.00 that week and i know that their are 1.00 of coupons out there, i will order as many as i can to get the shampoo for $1.00 a bottle.  (There are also sites I will give you where you can see what coupons are coming out in future inserts.)  Every area gets different coupons each week or for different values.)  but as i said you can go to ebay and search for a coupon   Ex tide and you will find all the areas that got different ones.  then you order the best ones.
3. Alot of stores, such as CVS , Target. Walgreens and Rite Aid will have there own coupons for things that are on sale in there store.  But, did you know, that you can combine a manufacturers coupon with a store coupon?  The answer is yes you can.
4. Did you know that when an item is on sale for buy one get one free and you have a coupon for a buy one get one free for the same product you cna use it to get both for free?   yes you can.
5. You can also use 2 coupons for a buy one get one free item as well.  Ex..toothpaste is on sale for B1G1 (buy one get one)  ..Say the toothpaste is $3.49....ok now say you have two one dollar off coupons for the toothpaste...You can use both of them because you are buying two items even though you are only paying for one item since it is a B1G1 sale.   3.49-2.00 = $1.49 for 2 tubes of toothpaste.  The same also apply' s if you have a coupon for 1.00 off of 2 items,
6. Did you also know that you can use a manufacturers coupon on trial size items and get many for free?  yes you can. As long as the coupon states on ANY.  Ex...If you have a coupon that says save $1.00 off ANY tide product.  you can go to Walmart or Target and go to the trial size section and pick up trial size tides for .97.  So you use your $1.00 coupon on it and it makes it FREE.  Sometimes, depending on the cashier or the stores policy you may get .3 cents overage since the price was only .97 cents.  And that overage will apply to whtever other items in your cart.  Now some stores will just adjust the coupon down to the price of .97 cents, but thats ok.  You are still getting the product for free.  I have done this many times and a have a ton of the trial size tides for free.  Hey who doesnt like laundry detergent for free. right?

Ok thats it for now.  But I am going to leave you with two sites i love and you will find alot of information on. www.afullcup.com   and  www.totallytarget.com   Check those sites out and read as much as you can.  My next post will be how each store works.  Till then...Have a great night..
